The TRANSFORMATION Journey
When it comes to my creativity – the last couple of days have just been — blahhh. I call this period – a “heady” period. I’m in my head quite a bit and just trying to sort out thoughts and emotions that come up for me during this period.
I kept questioning myself – what the heck is going on – looked at my lunar calendar and lo-and-behold — it is coming up to the FULLMOON and my thoughts/emotions are screaming bloody Mary!
Here is what I typically do around this time – that you could also try — to help ease into the Fullmoon phase without going bonkers …
AWARENESS – The first step is to become aware of the moon phase in the lunar cycle – for me, 3 to 5 days leading to the Fullmoon can be quite intense in that there is quite a bit of “stuff” that comes to the surface.
Although yes, we want to be productive and we have tasks to complete, we need to remember to be gentle with ourselves around this time. Our thoughts, feelings, and emotions are typically heightened around this time – why? Because the moon is closer to earth – which is believed to intensify certain behaviors as well as human emotions.
JOURNALING – I cannot stress enough how much this has helped me on my journey – I have a few of them laying around. If you’re feeling down and out because of the thoughts that keep raring its head in your head (no pun intended), write them down. Whatever comes to mind, write it down and it doesn’t have to make sense. JUST WRITE!
BE PRESENT – you’ve written down what’s in your head, it’s time to let go, let it flow away – literally. If you’re good at visualization, this is where you can use your superpower! Hanging onto the thoughts and feelings at this point is no longer welcome – it is no longer serving your purpose. LET IT GO!!!
FIND YOUR TUNE – this step is dependent on the individual. You can choose to play uplifting tunes, chilled out tunes, or simply choose peace/quiet and enjoy being present.
Remember that what and how you are feeling around this time of the lunar cycle is normal – and it is temporary. The feeling will pass once the Fullmoon cycle is over … until the next cycle!
